Malibu Beach Triathlon - more Infos: The 2008 Nautica Malibu Triathlon race is scheduled to start on sunday morning (Sep 14), 7:15am PST. Proceeds from the event will go to the Childrens Hospital Of Los Angeles and its Pediatric Cancer Research Program. Maybe Anna will fly to Malibu a few days earlier to promote this event - just like she did prior to her first Triathlon in April 08.She'll do the 4-mile run again (aroung Zuma Beach in Malibu) and her teammates for the swimming part and bike course will be announced later. YouthAIDS Gala-invitation: Anna has been invited to attend the 2008 YouthAIDS Gala 2008 - "The Power Of Music!". The event takes place at the Ritz-Carlton Hoel At Tyson's Corner In McLean's, Virginia on Friday evening, October 3rd. There's an evening-reception starting at 6:30pm, followed by dinner and dancing at approx. 7:30pm. Ticket prices: $2.500 each per individual, $25.000 for each table group.Ashley Judd will host the event. Other famous people expected to attend the event: Bob Geldof, Annie Lennox, Judy McGrath and Miss Universe. Ana gave no credit for Anna...: In the current FHM-issue (german September 08-issue) Ana Ivanovic is on the cover and there's also an Interview - the following Q&A is remarkable:FHM: But Anna wasn't good, wasn't she? (german: ...war eine Niete)
AI: "Anna Kournikova was talented but she came from a totally different time. She never won a title, had some injuries and stopped playing Tennis at a very young age, to do modelling. I would never do that. My priority is Tennis."
PERSONAL COMMENT: Anna coming from a "totally different time"...she's just 27 years old and although she stopped playing a bit more than 5 years ago, I think that's wrong. It sounds as if Anna would already be 40 years old! Plus: Anna is a two time Grand Slam Doubles Champion! Even current Top Players tend to forget that :-(
